Recap of July 2016 Regular Monthly Meeting

Two of our core values as a Commission are:
"We value transparency and openness in conducting our duties as Commissioners."
and
"We welcome public input with a collaborative spirit."

Putting those values into practice, the July 2016 regular monthly Planning Commission meeting opened with a time of public comment.  With a spirit of collaboration, the Commission's desire during the public comment time was to provide a neutral and helpful environment where we would HEAR from you and simply LISTEN to what is on the public's mind.  The Commissioners would like to thank those members of the public who attended and who spoke on behalf of their concerns and ideas for healthy growth in our community!

Two construction projects were approved during the July meeting, including an expasion of Lonoke First Assembly and a residential construction project on Fish Hatchery Road.  It should also be notetd that the new streamlined procedure for approving residential construction applications has been adopted by the City Council.  It is the Planning Commission's hope that local real estate professionals and residential contractors in our community will find this innovation to be helpful in their process of doing business and welcoming new residents to Lonoke.

Full details of the meeting are included in the official minutes as posted below, and on our 'DOCUMENTS' page elsewhere on this website.

We always want to hear your ideas and concerns!  Contact us anytime to appear on the monthly meeting agenda; the deadline for addition of agenda items is 1 week prior to the regular monthly meeting.
